Earthquake Aid for Turkey & Syria

The death toll from the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria has surpassed 23,000 and continues to climb.

We are encouraging parishioners and all faithful to help provide immediate relief to the families that suffered catastrophic losses through the following organizations:

• US Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Turkey and Syria Earthquake Relief Fund.  The agency supports local church partners in Turkey and Syria, including Caritas Turkey and Caritas Syria.

• The Pontifical Mission Societies in the United States Earthquake Aid for Turkey and Syria Fund. They work through local bishops, churches, and missionary congregations to ensure that resources are distributed equitably and justly, based on the needs of individual Churches.

For all who are affected by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria: that God will shield the people who suffer, console those who are bereaved, strengthen the work of emergency and relief teams, and shine his light in the midst of despair, we pray to the Lord.
